Triggers for employees who have completed their probationary period.

Criteria Trigger
Number of absence events 3 in a rolling twelve month period that does not reach 10 days in total.
Absence events totalling more than 10 calendar days 1 in a rolling twelve month period
Continuous calendar days of absence 10 days

Only one of the triggers needs to be reached for the line manager to be required to review the employee’s sickness records.

Triggers for employees within their probationary period. During the Probation Period the Company reserves the right to operate a modified disciplinary process.

Criteria Trigger
Number of absence events 2 in a rolling twelve month period that does not reach 5 days in total.
Continuous calendar days of absence 5 days

Only one of the triggers needs to be reached for the line manager to be required to review the employee’s sickness records.

Prior to this absence, has the employee reached a trigger?*
Does this escalate into a trigger stage?*

Advise an informal meeting will be arranged to record or discuss absences.

Despite this absence not resulting in escalation, please explain the trigger process to the employee.

Advise the employee that this will be refferred to HR and shown on their record.
